*Please note that it is recommended you have some basic shoeing/trimming experience when enrolling in our 8-week course.

*All students enrolled at BHS receive a one-year membership to the American Farriers Association paid by BHS. In addition, BHS will pay for every student to attend one American Farriers Association certification while they are attending school.

*All students of BHS will have the benefit of living in our 5-bedroom bunkhouse on the premises for the duration of their course at no additional cost.

*All students of BHS will be provided lunch M-F at no additional cost.

*Our fully equipped shoeing barn is available for our students use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

All courses at BHS are strategically designed so our students have the best possible scenario for success. All courses have 6 hours per week of class studies, 16 hours per week of forging instruction and building shoes you will actually use on a day-to-day basis and 24 hours per week of practical application on live horses. students have 24 hour access to the shoeing barn. We take student and horse safety seriously, and begin day one with horsemanship skills, which will be reinforced throughout your time at BHS.

All courses offer a class on running and managing your Farrier business, BHS prides itself on graduating the most skilled and prepared Farriers in the industry. Our student's success equals our success.

All courses require a 1,000 dollar deposit to reserve your place in the month you wish to begin. The remainder of tuition due for your selected course must be received no later than one month prior to your start date.

**All students will have the privilege of living in our bunkhouse located on BHS school campus while attending school at no additional cost.

2026 Schedule:

We start new classes on the first Monday of each month. School will be closed beginning Wednesday, November 25th and will resume classes Monday, January 5th. We do this to give our students and staff the opportunity to spend the holiday season with their families. Should you be attending class during any of our posted days off, you can be assured you will not lose learning time. The posted days off will be added to the end of your course. *Partial refunds are offered during the first five days a student attends school. There is no refund offered on deposits, and there will be a cost of 500.00 per each day deducted from any refund. If a student is dismissed for disciplinary reasons there will be no refund.
